(Oct. 11, 2006) - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's and women's cross country teams return to action this weekend at the Falcon Invitational, Saturday in Bowling Green, Ohio. Hosted by Bowling Green, the Panthers will be running on the host course for this year's NCAA Great Lakes Regional (Nov. 11). The team was expected to compete at the Loyola Invite, but ended up not running. Their last time out, the UWM women took eighth among 19 teams at the Loyola Invite. Sophomore Holly Nearman was the team's top finisher for the third-straight meet, taking seventh. Junior Angie Huebner, an all-league first-team selection last season, made her 2006 debut and took 62nd. Milwaukee's men took fourth their last time out, led by junior Nick Hawley with a 14th place showing. This weekend is the final tuneup for Milwaukee, as it will next compete at the Horizon League Championships, Oct. 28, in Indianapolis, Ind. The women took third at the league meet last season, while the men will look to improve on a fourth-place showing from a year ago.
