Huebner Selected As League Runner Of The WeekSept. 13, 2005 MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Sophomore Angie Huebner of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's cross country team is this week's Horizon League Runner of the Week, the league office announced today. Huebner has earned the honor once before, following her first collegiate race in 2004. Huebner led the Panthers to a third-place finish at the Bradley Invitational last weekend. The Green Bay native took eighth among Division I runners, crossing the line in 18:27. UWM finished with 89 points to trail only Marquette and Loyola among Division I schools. Junior Ben Uphoff was also named the League Men's Runner of the Week, giving Milwaukee a sweep of the league's weekly honors. Huebner and the Panthers return to action Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. The Griak Invite will give Milwaukee its first taste of national competition, as the meet is attended by some of the top teams in the nation and is broken into multiple races.
