Christian Named To Academic All-Horizon League TeamJan. 26, 2005 MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Senior Anna Christian has been named to the Horizon League's Cross Country Academic All-League Team, the league announced today. Christian is the lone member of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's cross country team honored on the six-member team. At the Horizon League Cross Country Championships in October, Christian repeated as a first-team all-league selection, taking fifth at the meet to help Milwaukee to a third-place finish. Over the course of the season, she was the top Panther finisher each time she competed, including a second-place finish among scored runners at the Roy Griak Invitational. An architecture major, Christian has excelled in the classroom as well, boasting a 3.692 GPA. UWM hosted the 2004 Horizon League Championships in Kenosha, Wis., where both the men and women came away with third-place showings. The Panthers featured three all-league honorees, including Christian on the first team, and the League Men's Newcomer of the Year.
