Three Panthers Finish Among Top 100 At NCAA Regional
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Nov. 12, 2005) - Led by sophomore Angie Huebner in 64th place, three Panthers finished in the top 100 to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's cross country team to an 18th-place finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, Saturday afternoon in Bloomington, Ind. UWM finished with 493 points, while Wisconsin took top honors with 49. Huebner finished the 6000m course with a time of 22:55. Sophomore Holly Nearman and junior Kourtney Nault also finished among the top 100 in 95th and 99th places. Nearman crossed the line in 23:35, just three seconds ahead of Nault (23:28). Seniors Katie Anderson and Griffin McNulty rounded out the scoring runners for Milwaukee. Anderson placed 112th in 23:43 and McNulty finished 123rd in 23:48 Also running for the Panthers were freshmen Erin Magargee and Megan Johnson. Magargee posted a time of 23:54 to take 128th and Johnson finished in 25:10 (178th).
