Panthers Take 34th At Pre-National InviteOct. 15, 2005
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Sophomore Angie Huebner took 117th place to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's cross country team to a 34th-place finish at the NCAA Pre-National Invitational, Saturday afternoon in Terre Haute, Ind. Huebner placed 117th to pace the Panthers at the site of this year's NCAA Championships. Huebner completed the 6000m course with a time of 22:16 at her first meet since the Roy Griak Invitational Sept. 24. Sophomore Holly Nearman took 164th as the second Milwaukee finisher and junior Kourtney Nault was third in 193rd place. Like Huebner, Nearman and Nault have been inactive since the Griak and posted times of 22:48 and 23:14. Senior Griffin McNulty placed 210th with a time of 23:49, while freshman Erin Magargee rounded out the UWM scorers in 23:49 for 213th place. Senior Katie Anderson and freshman Megan Johnson also ran, finishing just two seconds apart. Anderson was 217th in 23:55 and Johnson was 219th in 23:57. The NCAA Pre-National Invitational was Milwaukee's final warm-up for the Horizon League Championships, hosted by Wright State, Oct. 29.
