Women's Runners Have Rough Day In Indiana Mud

Panthers finish 13th out of 16 at Notre Dame Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee finished 13th out of 16 teams at the Notre Dame Invitational Friday afternoon in monsoon-like conditions. Alison Shattuck was the top finisher for the Panthers, finishing in 19:31.

Katie Anderson was the second finisher for UWM, finishing in 19:45. Abby Hurst followed, finishing in 19:58. A pair of freshmen, Michelle Blomquist and Griffin McNulty collected the final placings for the Panthers, with Blomquist finishing in 20:10 and McNulty collecting a time of 20:28.

The Panthers will return to action next weekend as they travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., for the Western Michigan Invitiatonal.
