Panther Women Take 25th At Loyola Lakefront InviteOct. 1, 2005
CHICAGO, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's cross country team took 25th place at the Loyola Lakefron Invitational, Saturday morning in Chicago. Freshman Megan Johnson led the Panthers for the second time this season. Johnson was Milwaukee's only finisher among the top 100, taking 71st with a time of 19:09. Senior Griffin McNulty and freshman Erin Magargee finished together in 122nd and 124th place. McNulty ran a time of 19:52, while Magargee was just one second back in 19:53. Senior Katie Anderson and freshman Kiersten Ludvigson rounded out UWM's scorers. Anderson crossed the line in 20:15 for 148th and Ludvigson in 156th with a time of 20:22. Junior Kris Gasser was just two seconds behind Ludvigson in 158th place (20:24). Sophomore Maggie Seed completed the Panthers' runners with a time of 20:48 and 172nd place. Head coach Pete Corfeld held out senior Anna Christian and sophomores Angie Huebner and Holly Nearman in preparation for the NCAA Pre-National Invitational, Oct. 15, in Terre Haute, Ind. That is the next time the Panthers will be in action.
