Dallenbach Named MCC Volleyball Player of the Week

Panthers earn their sixth conference player of the week honor

MILWAUKEE - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee volleyball player Laura Dallenbach (OH, So., Waterloo, Iowa, West) was named this week’s Midwestern Collegiate Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.

Dallenbach earned the honor after leading the team on both offense and defense last week in the team’s 2-0 weekend to wrap up conference play, 11-1. Dallenbach had a team-leading 30 kills, averaging 4.29 kpg while hitting a solid .333. She also led the team on defense, tallying a team-leading 26 digs for an average of 3.71 dpg. She also had 5 block assists, three service aces and an assist.

This is the second time Dallenbach has earned this honor so far this year, and the sixth time for the team. Dallenbach earned the honor the first time for the week of Sept. 6. Sue Raschka (MB, Chicago, Ill., Immaculate Heart of Mary) also earned the honor twice this season, for the week of Oct. 18 and the week of Sept. 27. Ericka Malterer (OP, Sr., Waupun, Wis., Waupun) earned the honor the week of Sept. 13 and Chrissy Schurla (MB, So., Chicago, Ill.) was given the nod the week of Oct. 11.
