MILWAUKEE - The UWM women's volleyball team will carry the number five spot in the Midwest Region and a 10-game winning streak into a crucial weekend of volleyball in the MCC.

The Panthers moved up in the latest poll thanks to wins over three ranked teams, including a dramatic five-game victory over then-number one Cincinnati.

Louisville is in the region's top spot, followed by South Florida, Cincinnati and Houston. Loyola dropped to seventh, and Butler is ninth.

UWM is currently tied with the Ramblers for first place in the MCC. Tonight, the Panthers play at Wright State, while Saturday afternoon UWM faces Butler. They then close out the regular season Nov. 11 at home against Cleveland State.

This year's MCC Tournament is in Cleveland Nov. 18-19. The winner receives an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
