The Panthers are the top-ranked team in the district, while the Blue Demons are ranked No. 9 in the district. Both teams are in District 6. This is the second match in the Panthers final homestand, which ends this weekend when the Panthers play host to conference-rival Loyola on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 6 when they face UIC at 2 p.m. The Panthers Continue to Roll The Panthers are on a 10-match winning streak, and have dropped only one match so far this year, to then No. 13 UW-Madison. As of Oct. 24, the last time the NCAA released the national statistics, the Panthers topped the MCC team statistics in virtually every category. They also boast the conference’s top player in hitting percentage, aces and assists. The Panthers are also among the top teams in the nation in team hitting percentage (13th, .285), in team kills per game (11th, 17.24 kpg), in team assists per game (3rd, 15.92 apg), and in team win-loss ratio (5th, .950). Individually, senior Katie Schneider (S, West Bend, Wis./East) ranks 2nd in the nation in assists, averaging 14.42assists per game. A Look at DePaul (17-9, 9-3 C-USA) DePaul's Stephanie Bishop had 18 kills, a .400 hitting percentage and 23 digs to power the Blue Demons to a 3-0 (15-7, 15-13, 15-6) victory over Southern Miss on Sunday at Reed-Green Coliseum. The win, the Blue Demons' ninth-straight, moved DePaul's record to 17-9 overall and 9-3 in C-USA. The win also gave Head Coach Dawn Dockstader's squad a perfect 6-0 record against the league's National Division. The nine-match winning streak is the best since the 1991 squad won 11 straight. The nine conference wins ties the school record for league wins in a season with both the 1992 and 1993 teams. The Panthers lead the series with DePaul, 9-4-1. The last time these two teams met was last year, when the Panthers defeated the Blue Demons, 3-2, in Chicago, Ill.
