CHICAGO - Now that's more like it.

The UWM women's volleyball team hit .303 for the match, including a red-hot .556 in game one, and cruised past Illinois-Chicago, 15-6, 15-8, 15-9, Saturday.

The Panthers bounced back quickly from a poor offensive performance Friday at Loyola, going the entire first game without an attacking error.

UWM (10-3, 2-1 MCC) again used a balanced attack, led by sophomore Tari Boutin's 11 kills and .556 hitting percentage - the second time in the last three matches Boutin has hit better than .500.

Junior Laura Dallenbach and freshman Sarah Potts added 10 kills apiece.

The Panthers defense was also strong. UWM recorded 51 digs, three block solos, and 16 block assists. Junior Chrissy Schurla led the way with 10 digs and five block assists.. The Panther defense held UIC (12-3, 2-1 MCC) to a .088 hitting percentage for the match.

UWM returns home Friday night to face MCC rival Butler. The match begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, Wright State visits the Klotsche Center for a 4 p.m. match.
