Erin Magargee will serve as a volunteer assistant for the 2009 season after exhausting her eligibility during the 2008 cross country season. Magargee was a four-year letterwinner with both the cross country and track and field teams and is ranked in the school's all-time top 10 in the indoor mile and 3000m events. Last fall, she helped the Panthers to their second-straight runner-up finish, while falling just eight points shy of a league title. She was an all-league honoree for the second-straight season, earning a first-team nod with a sixth-place finish. Magargee was an all-league second-teamer with the track and field team in the distance medley relay, while helping Milwaukee to three team league titles and five runner-up finishes. Erin, whose twin sister Danielle is still on the team, graduated in December of 2008 with her degree in psychology. Track 2008 Indoor: Took fourth in the mile and ninth in the 3000m at the league championships ... also earned all-league second-team honors with the distance medley relay ... placed third in the mile run at the UWM Panther Tune-Up. Outdoor: Was fifth in the 1500m and 11th in the 5000m at the league meet ... finished third in the 5000m at the Marquette Invite. 2007 Indoor: Finished fourth in the 1000m and sixth in the 3000m at the league championships ... won the 1000m at the UWM Double Dual ... placed third in the 1000m at the UW-Whitewater Invite. Outdoor: Scored in the 1500m, taking sixth at the league meet ... placed second in the event at the Warrior Invite ... was fifth in the 1500m at both the Big Blue Classic and Wisconsin Twilight. 2006 Indoor: Was fifth in the 3000m at the league indoor meet ... ran a career-best time of 10:22.66 ... took fifth in the event earlier in the year at the Northern Iowa Classic ... top finish was fourth in the mile run at the UWM Panther Tune Up. Outdoor: At the league meet, took fifth in the 3000m steeplechase and ninth in the 5000m ... had career-best times in both events ... took second in the 1500m at the Wisconsin Lutheran Invite ... also took third in the event at the Illinois Benedictine Invite. 2005 Indoor: Placed 13th in the 3000m at the league championships ... took second in the event at the UWM Panther Tune Up ... also took eighth in the mile at the Division I Invite.
