St. Louis Next Up For The Panthers

Billiken Classic goes on with a few changes

Sept. 13, 2001

MILWAUKEE (Sept. 13, 2001) - The UWM women's tennis team will travel to St. Louis this weekend to compete in the Billiken Classic.

However, the event has been changed from a three-day event to a two-day tournament beginning Saturday at 9 a.m. and continuing through Sunday.

The Panthers will be participating in just their second tournament of the year. Last week at the Eastern illinois Invitational, the Panthers saw two freshmen, Megan Brown and Erin Felber, advance to the semifinals in No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.

UWM will be joined at the Billiken Classic by Horizon League rival Butler among the competing schools.
