The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team looks to get back on the winning track when it hosts South Dakota State this weekend.

The two teams will square off Saturday at 2 p.m. at Sports Core in Kohler, Wis.

The Panthers (8-7) have dropped two-straight matches to tough Missouri Valley Conference foes. The latest defeat came Sunday in Milwaukee to Illinois State.

UWM's best play continues to come in singles, where Kelly Drvaric has seven spring wins while Ali O'Neal and Traci Litscher have collected six spring wins apiece. Meanwhile, the Panthers have collected just nine total doubles wins this spring, with the tandem of O'Neal and Drvaric capturing five of those.

The Jackrabbits (3-6) split two matches this past weekend, knocking off UMKC before falling to Saint Louis. SDSU also has wins over Colorado College and Chicago State.

After this weekend, UWM hits the stretch run of its 2007 spring schedule in preparation for the Horizon League Championship. The Panthers have matches at IPFW and Detroit April 5-6 before hosting Cleveland State and Youngstown State April 13-14.
