Panthers Put Streak On Line At Ball State
March 5, 2008
MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team will put its winning streak on the line when it travels to Ball State for a Friday afternoon match. The Panthers have won four-straight matches, the longest winning streak in the school's Division I history. Plus, UWM's nine wins are already tied for the third-most in a single Division I season in school history. UWM (9-6) has been successful thanks to a wide variety of contributions. Sophomore Kelly Drvaric has five wins at #1 singles, Sammi Schoen has seven wins at #4 singles and Jenna Felsher has captured eight wins at #6 singles. The Cardinals (6-3) have won six of their nine dual matches this spring and carry a three-match winning streak into a Wednesday contest with Butler. BSU has already captured wins over Wright State, Youngstown State and Valparaiso. Sophie Quist has four wins at #1 singles while Haly Calderwood and Jennifer Pollack have five wins at #1 doubles. Following Friday's match, UWM will not return to action until March 29.
