Panthers Host Pair Of Home Matches This Weekend

UWM welcomes league foes UIC and Butler

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team will host a pair of Horizon League matches this weekend.

Saturday the Panthers will host UIC in a 4 p.m. match at the North Shore Elite Fitness and Racquet Club, while Sunday the Panthers host Butler in a 2 p.m. match at the Bluemound Elite Fitness and Racquet Club.

The Panthers are coming off of a split of two matches in Omaha last weekend. UWM fell to the hosts from Creighton before claiming a 7-0 win over UMKC. UWM also owns a win over Western Illinois this spring.

Elizabeth Angel has been the biggest individual standout this season for head coach Matt McCaskill. She won a pair of singles matches and a doubles match last weekend and has 12 wins so far this season.

For fans interested in attended the matches, admission is free. The North Shore Elite Fitness and Racquet Club is located at 5750 N. Glen Park Rd. in Glendale, while the Bluemound Elite Fitness and Racquet Club is located at 600 N. Barker Rd. in Brookfield.
