Tennis Looks To Extend Winning Streak In Green Bay

UWM will face UWGB and Xavier

Feb. 15, 2007

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team will look to extend its two-match winning streak in a pair of contests this weekend.

The Panthers (4-3) will face Horizon League rival UW-Green Bay Friday night before facing Xavier on Saturday. Both contests will be played in Green Bay.

Milwaukee claimed a pair of team wins last weekend, knocking off Creighton, 4-3, and Coe, 6-1. Freshman Ali O'Neal led the way for the Panthers, winning a pair of singles matches and two doubles contests on her way to Horizon League Player of the Week honors.

O'Neal is far from the only freshman playing well for the Panthers, as Kelly Drvaric and Ashley Schoneman each won two singles matches last weekend.

Next weekend, UWM plays at UIC Friday afternoon before hosting IPFW Saturday afternoon.
