Tennis Opens Spring Season At Home

Panthers host Wright State Saturday

Jan. 28, 2005

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team will open the 2005 portion of its tennis season with a home meet Saturday.

The Panthers will host Wright State at 3:30 p.m. at the North Shore Elite Fitness and Racquet Center, located at 5750 N. Glen Park Road in Glendale.

The match is the first in Horizon League competition for both teams. In the fall, UWM's entire team appeared in the Ball State Invitational while Traci Litscher and Margie Van Lieshout each competed at the ITA Regionals.

The match will also mark the debut of new UWM coach Matthew McMcCaskill, who currently serves as the Director of Tennis at the Racine Country Club.

Admission to home tennis matches in free. The next home match after Saturday is Feb. 12 against Northern Iowa.
