Panthers Set To Square Off With Oklahoma

UWM receives another early-season test

Jan. 24, 2008

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team will face another stiff, early-season test when the Panthers take on the University of Oklahoma Friday.

The two teams will square off at Marquette at 10 am.

The Panthers (3-2) beat South Dakota State but fell to Drake and Minnesota in action last weekend in Minneapolis. Sophomore Kari Kastenholz enjoyed a strong weekend in leading the Panthers. She tallied a pair of singles wins, including a victory at #3 singles over Minnesota.

The match with UWM is one of three contests Oklahoma will play in Wisconsin this weekend, with the Sooners also scheduled to face Marquette and Ohio State. Oklahoma is hoping to compete for an upper-division finish in the Big 12, which has five teams ranked in the top 60 nationally.
