WHITEWATER, Wis. - Margie Van Lieshout won in both singles and doubles but it wasn't enough as the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater claimed a 7-2 win over UWM in women's tennis action Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers gained their two points thanks to a singles win by Margie Van Lieshout and a doubles win by Van Lieshout and Samantha Drews.

Van Lieshout's singles win came in the #1 slot, a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Nicole Stamm. But, UWM couldn't scratch out another point in singles play. Lauren Fenley did push her opponent to three games at #4 singles and Erin Felber did the same in the #6 slot.

In doubles action, Van Lieshout and Drews claimed an 8-3 win over Stamm and Jessie Farrar.

UWM returns to action next weekend at the Chicago State Invitational.
