Van Lieshout Shines For Panthers At Ball State

Claims win in singles and doubles

MUNCIE, Ind. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team claimed a singles win and two doubles wins on the second day of the Ball State Invitational.

Margie Van Lieshout was responsible for two of those wins, going 1-1 in Flight A singles while teaming up with Traci Litscher for an 8-3 win over a team from Miami in doubles. Van Lieshout's singles win was a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Kara Dunbar of Wright State.

The doubles team of Carrie Salo and Ellen Anderson also found success, claiming an 8-0 win over a team from Miami in doubles play.

In other singles action, Tammie Spiel went 0-1 in Flight A, Litscher and Erin Felber each went 0-1 in Flight B, Alissa Matzinger was 0-1 in Flight C, Salo 0-1 in Flight D and Anderson 0-1 in Flight E.
