MUNCIE, Ind. - Three singles players and one doubles team claimed victory for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on the first day of the Ball State Invitational.

Included in the results on Friday was a victory by Margie Van Lieshout in Flight A singles. After dropping her first match of the day, she bounced back with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Sachi Janek of IPFW.

Elizabeth Angel split two matches in Flight C singles, beating Jessica Vervyncky of IPFW 6-1, 6-4. Samantha Drews also went 1-1 on the day, beating Jessica Kirkpatrick of Butler 6-1, 6-2.

In doubles action, UWM went 1-3. The team of Erin Felber and Angel claimed an 8-5 victory over a team from Dayton.
