Panthers Drop Twice On Weekend

Tennis team falls to Youngstown State and Chicago State

MILWAUKEE - The UWM tennis team dropped a pair of decisions over the weekend, falling to Younstown State, 7-0, and Chicago State, 4-3.

Against Youngstown State on Saturday, Megan Brown went to three sets before falling, 5-7, 6-3, (10-4). Brown was the only Panther to go three sets, though Tammie Spiel fell 7-5 in her second set.

Sunday in Chicago, the Panthers narrowly missed winning their first match of the season, falling to the Cougars. Megan Brown, Julie Heling and Shauna Jansen each picked up wins for UWM, with the doubles combination of Heling and Jansen winning a match at third doubles.

The Panthers wrap up their regular season this weekend with Butler on Sunday. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at St. Francis High School.
