MILWAUKEE - The UWM tennis team dropped three matches last weekend in Texas as part of the team's spring break trip. UWM lost to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas-Pan American and St. Mary's, all by a 7-0 margin.

Molly Caulk came closest to claiming victory in her match against St. Mary's, as she took her opponent, Sonja Ortiz, to three sets before falling. She finally fell after winning the first set, 6-4, 0-6, 0-6.

Another Panther took her St. Mary's opponent to the limit before falling. Cassie Kuranz won her first set over the Rattlers' Monica Gonzalez, 6-3, before falling in the next two, 0-6, 1-6.

Megan Brown also returned from a bout with mono to play a strong match against St. Mary's. Brown battled with her opponent to a 6-2, 7-5 defeat.

Against Corpus Christi, Cassie Kuranz had the top Panther score, as she fell to Jessica Martinez by a 6-3, 6-2 margin.

Molly Caulk also played well against UTPA, falling to Elisabet Mateos by a 6-2, 6-2 score.

The Panthers will look to rebound this weekend when they host Detroit and UIC at the Pleasant Valley Tennis Club in Jackson.
