Panthers Win Second-Straight On Road
Feb. 24, 2008 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team wrapped up a successful weekend road trip with a 5-2 win over IUPUI Sunday afternoon. Combined with a 5-2 win over league-rival Wright State Saturday, the Panthers (7-6) snapped a three-match losing streak by going a perfect 2-0 on the weekend. Milwaukee again received solid play across the board, with UWM recovering from losing the doubles point by winning five of six singles contests. Martina Schnapp captured a straight-sets win at #2 singles while Kari Kastenholz did the same in the third slot. Sammi Schoen (#4 singles), Jenna Felsher (#5 singles) and Lauren Fenley (#6 singles) also collected straight-sets wins. UWM returns to action next weekend, traveling to Peoria to face Bradley as well as to take on league-rival Detroit in a neutral-site contest.
