MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Sophomores Lindsay Caldwell and Bridget Fargen of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee have been named to the Horizon League Women's Swimming and Diving All-Academic Team, the league office announced today. Both Panthers are earning the honor in their first season of eligibility as second-year student-athletes.

Caldwell capped a tremendous sophomore campaign, earning the League Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet at the Horizon League Championships. At the league meet, she broke three league records and seven school records on her way to three individual championships and two relay titles. Out of the pool, the West Bend, Wis. native boasts a 3.445 GPA as a journalism major.

Fargen also finished up her second season at Milwaukee in style. At the league championships, she joined Caldwell on two school-record relays, including a league champion in the 400 freestyle relay. A broadcast journalism major from Madison, Wis., she has excelled in the classroom, maintaining a 3.929 cumulative GPA.

Both swimmers earned All-League First Team honors, while leading the Panther women to a third-place showing at the Horizon League in February.
