MILWAUKEE - Five members of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee swimming & diving team were named to the Academic All-Horizon League Winter Team, the league office announced this week. Overall, Milwaukee led the league with 16 honorees, with Green Bay second with 14 selections.

On the men's side, two of the three choices were repeat honorees, as senior David Yugo, junior Robby Leibold and sophomore Jeremy Waldhart were all named to the prestigious squad.

Yugo, who also earned the honor as a junior, set career-best times in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free as a senior. He recorded eight top-three finishes on the season and took eighth in the 200 free at the League Championships. Yugo is a Dean's List and Horizon League Academic Honor Roll member who carries a 3.671 GPA in Business.

Leibold, another repeat winner, had an impressive junior campaign, recording 19 victories and eight second-place finishes out of 35 races overall, setting new UWM records in the 1,000 free and 1,650 free. He placed fifth in the 500 freestyle, third in the 1,000 and third in the 1,650 at the League Championships and was selected Horizon League Scholar of the Month in October and named Scholar-Athlete of the Week on three occasions. He maintains a 3.278 GPA as a Health Sciences major.

Waldhart set personal-bests in the 200 IM, 400 IM and both backstroke events during a season where he won 10 times and took second six times. He had an eight-race win streak in the 200 back, placing fourth in the event at the league championships (also taking sixth in the 400 IM and eighth in 200 IM). Waldhart earned Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Week honors in February, has been on the Dean's List each semester and is a Horizon League Academic Honor Roll member. He has a 3.978 GPA as a Biology major.

On the women's team, two first-time honorees made the list for UWM in juniors Molly Finn and Ashley Hall.

Finn won the 200 butterfly for the third-straight season at the League Championships and also took third in both IM events. She is a seven-time Horizon League Champion who holds 10 school records. She set a new 200 fly mark at the league championships in a season where she recorded 14 wins and eight second-place finishes in 30 races.
