Day Two In The Books At Diving Regionals
March 12, 2005 WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Three Panthers competing at the NCAA Zone 'C' Diving Regional completed the second day of the event Saturday in West Lafayette, Ind. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is represented at the meet by junior Erin Blemberg and sophomore Crystal Szymanski on the women's side, while junior Jeff Jasinowski is the lone men's diver in attendance. Blemberg and Szymanski finished together in the preliminaries of the one-meter event, but failed to advance to the finals as one of the top 18 divers. Blemberg was 26th, finishing with 217.05 points. Szymanski was close behind in 27th with a score of 215.05. For the men, Jasinowski placed 32nd in three-meter diving. The junior captain tallied with 191.75 points on the day. The Zone 'C' Diving Regionals conclude with men's and women's platform diving on Sunday. Athletes hit the boards at 11 a.m.
