FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming sophomore Lindsay Caldwell has been named the Horizon League Female Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced today. The honor is the second of the season for Caldwell and third of her career.

On Friday, the West Bend, Wis., native helped the Panthers to a first-place showing at the Ed Kennedy Relays, as UWM won five-of-six events on the day. In the 200 medley relay, Caldwell swam the breaststroke leg, as the quartet completed the distance in 2:07.85. She came back to lead off the 400 freestyle relay, as the relay finished first in 4:16.18.

The team's winter trip continues through Jan. 11, with the Time Trial 100s on Thursday, Jan. 6.
