MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming team recorded victories in all 11 events Saturday afternoon in claiming a 126-70 win over Wheaton College at the Klotsche Natatorium. With the victory, the Panthers improve to 15-3 all-time against the Thunder and extend their win streak to seven-straight in the series.

Sophomore Ellie Gross recorded two individual wins and freshmen Sarah Wardecke and Danielle Chapman each won their only individual event and also swam with both winning relay teams to lead the way.

In addition, Milwaukee received first-place finishes from seniors Kelsey McDonough and Kristina Hansen, juniors Kerry Rossow, Alex Nelson and Bailey Nennig and both relay teams.

"Winning every event makes you feel like you did your job, which was nice to see considering we did not have people swimming in their strongest events," UWM head coach Erica Janssen said. "We try and find the best combination of events before we head to conference and sometimes something pops up like it did today for Danielle Chapman in the backstroke."

Gross showed off her versatility, winning the 50 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. She topped the field in the sprint in a time of 25.53 and in the 500 in 5:17.00, winning by over four seconds.

A day after winning both the 50 and 100 free against Wright State, Wardecke took first in the 200 free in a time of 1:57.61, topping second-place Hansen, who touched the wall in 1:59.89.

"That was a great swim by Ellie in the 500 free so that really presents options for us," Janssen siad. "Sarah Wardecke is the `real deal' and she is doing a great job. She is a very versatile kid and has a lot of potential."

McDonough won the 200 butterfly in 2:17.48, Hansen the 100 free in 55.17, Rossow the 200 breaststroke in 2:27.48, Nelson was the winner in the 1000 free in a time of 10:44.46, Nennig took the crown in the 400 IM in 4:42.49 and Chapman came up with the impressive win in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:13.10.

The 400 medley relay team of Chapman, Wardecke, freshman Hannah Egger and sophomore Danielle Wenger opened the meet with a win in 4:09.69 and the 400 free relay squad of Chapman, senior Molly Finn, freshman Heidi Niespodzany and Wardecke closed out the day with a victorious time of 3:39.62.

Milwaukee continues its current homestand next Saturday, as it welcomes UIC, North Dakota and Butler back to the Klotsche Natatorium for a meet set for a 1 p.m. start.
