Panthers Compete In Day One Of Midwest InvitationalFeb. 17, 2006
CHICAGO, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming team wrapped up day one of competition at the Midwest Invitational on Friday evening at the University of Chicago. The Panthers had just three swimmers taking part in the action, as junior Stephanie Karis and freshmen Monica Loy and Amanda Joppe all swam in one race apiece on Friday. Joppe and Karis took part on the 200 IM, with Joppe placing fourth in a time of 2:22.79 and Karis right behind in fifth, touching the wall in 2:23.22. Loy swam in the 50 freestyle, taking fourth with a time of 25.69. The meet will wrap up on Saturday in Chicago.
