MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men and women's swimming program entered the second session of the Bill Ritter Memorial Invitational in second-place after a good showing in the first session on Friday night. When the morning session ended, the Panther women found themselves in second and just nine points outside of first while the Panther men find themselves 53 points outside of first and sitting in third place.

"We didn't swim our best this morning," Panther head coach Dave Clark said. "The standings are still pretty good though and the final session could really come down to the final event (1650 freestyle)."

The women received good performances by their relay teams throughout the morning session. Emily Holcomb, Sarah Caldwell, Heather Sawatzki and Lindsay Caldwell finished second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:51.95.
