Panthers Run Win Streak Against Wheaton College To Eight11/6/2009 - Both relay teams and six different members of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming team recorded individual victories to send the team past Wheaton College Friday at Chrouser Pool. The Panthers won, 140-62, to record their eighth-straight win in the series and also to improve to 16-3 all-time against the Thunder. Senior Kerry Rossow, juniors Danielle Wenger and Katelyn Brittain, sophomores Sarah Wardecke and Heidi Niespodzany and freshman Parker Watson all recorded wins to highlight the non-conference dual meet, as UWM won eight of 11 events on the night. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming & diving team takes another road trip to start November, this time heading to Illinois for two weekend meets. First up is a match-up against Wheaton College Friday afternoon, starting at 4:30 p.m. Then, on Saturday, a busy day gets underway at the UIC Natatorium at 1 p.m., as the Panthers will be swimming against UIC, Butler and North Dakota. Junior Kelsey George of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's diving team has been named the Horizon League Women's Diver of the Week, the league office announced today. The award is the second of the season for George. She competed in back-to-back meets last weekend, traveling to Wright State University on Friday and Eastern Michigan University on Saturday in a meet that included the University of Toledo.
