Milwaukee - Junior Defender Fanta Cooper (Oklahoma City, Okla - Westmoore) was named to the Great Lakes Region Second Team for women's soccer the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced today.

Cooper, who earned MCC Player of the Year honors this year, was named to the Great Lakes Region first team last season. Cooper was also named to the All-MCC First Team, MCC All-Tournament Team, and UWM Primco Classic All-Tournament Team this year.

Cooper, whose postseason performance in the conference tournament helped lead the Panthers into the tournament finals, was the only player in the MCC to make any of the three All-Regional teams.
