MILWAUKEE-Kristin Munyon (Omaha, Neb./Burke), a sophomore defender on the UWM women's soccer team, has been named the Brine MCC Player of the Week, the league office announced today. She also received the MCC honor for the week of October 2nd.

Munyon helped lift the Panthers to victory in overtime against Loyola, tallying the equalizing goal and recording two assists. Her four points in the game enabled her to take the lead in team scoring with 20 points, and made a huge impact in allowing the Panthers to maintain a perfect 5-0 record in the MCC. Down 2-0 in the second half, Munyon set up junior Erin Blaedow to get UWM on the board, and then scored the tieing goal when she rifled in a shot from 16 yards out to carry into overtime. She set up Julie Ruma's game-winning goal at the 97:16 mark.

The Panthers will next play in a semifinal game against Thursday's MCC quarterfinal winner of #4 Butler vs. #5 Green Bay on Friday, November 3rd, at 7:30 p.m. in Dayton, Ohio.
