MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Oct. 23, 2007) - Senior Pam Shipway of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's soccer team has been named to the Soccer America National Team of the Week, the publication announced today.

Shipway, who was named the Horizon League Player of the Week, is the second UWM player to receive national team of the week honors, as junior Erin Kane was honored by Soccer Buzz Sept. 24.

Shipway scored points in all three games last week, leading Milwaukee to a 3-0 record. She finished the week with two goals and an assist, tallying game-winning goals Tuesday against Loyola and again Friday vs. Cleveland State. She then assisted on the second goal in UWM's 2-0 win over Wright State Sunday. That win clinched the Panthers' eighth-straight Horizon League regular season championship.

Milwaukee closes out its regular season this week, taking on No. 3 Texas A&M Friday in College Station, Texas.
