MILWAUKEE - UWM women's soccer coach Michael Moynihan announced the signing of Nicole Motl (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) for the 2001 season.

A 5-6 midfielder, Motl was a two-time all-conference selection at Middleton High School and was named to the all-state team her senior year. Also following her senior year, she was named Middleton's Female Athlete of the Year. Motl is a member of the state ODP team and plays club soccer for the Madison 56ers.

"Nicole can play anywhere. She's the kind of player you would like to build a team around. She has a good attitude, never misses anything, is always there with a smile, and is a very hard worker," Moynihan said.

Motl is the fifth recruit and will join newcomers Amber Jelinek, Brenda Andrews, Sara Lewis, and Laura Driscoll to the Panthers lineup this fall.
