Complete 2008 Milwaukee Spring Schedule

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Feb. 28, 2008) - Games with Marquette, Wisconsin and NCAA teams in Missouri and Loyola, highlight the 2008 University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's soccer spring schedule released today by head coach Michael Moynihan.

The Panthers will kick off their league slate across town at Marquette March 29. That day, UWM will play both the host Golden Eagles and Horizon League foe Loyola. UWM and MU played to a 0-0 draw last season, while the Panthers defeated the Ramblers, 2-1, in the regular season. In the league championship, however, LU advanced to the NCAA Tournament in a shootout.

Milwaukee then takes a trip to Missouri April 5-6, playing at St. Louis that Saturday and at the Tigers Sunday. Missouri finished last season ranked 25th in the nation and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to eventual national champion USC.

An April 19 match at Wisconsin and a doubleheader at Northwestern April 27 round out the Panthers' spring contests. UWM have beaten the Badgers the last two seasons. At Northwestern, Milwaukee will play the host Wildcats at 11:15 a.m., but not until after playing Iowa at 8:45 a.m. The Panthers and Hawkeyes also met last season, playing to a scoreless tie.
