UWM Soccer To Host Clinic In West Allis
Feb. 16, 2001
MILWAUKEE-The UWM men's and women's soccer teams will host a clinic on Saturday at West Allis Central High School. The coaching staff and players from both teams will instruct youth soccer players on the fundamentals of soccer during a two-hour session. UWM soccer is reaching out to the West Allis community as it currently boasts a few West Allis natives on its roster. On the men' team, Chad and Tighe Dombrowski both are graduates of West Allis Hale High School, earning all-conference and all-state honors on the soccer team. Chad,a sophomore defender, and Tighe, a freshman midfielder/defender, have both been recognized by the MCC with conference honors at UWM. On the women's side, Erin Blaedow, a junior captain on UWM's team, went to West Allis Central while earning all-conference honors. She also earned MCC all-conference honors this past season. All three players are starters and key contributors to their respective teams.
Chad, Tighe, and Erin will be joined by several other Panthers in coaching West Allis youth. The players and coaches will run circuits of goalkeeping, shooting, passing, control, juggling, and heading. UWM players will sign autographs following the coaching session.
