MILWAUKEE - The UWM women's soccer team posted its first victory of the season when they blanked DePaul, 1-0, at Milwaukee's Quad Park on Wednesday.

UWM junior Fanta Cooper scored the games only goal in the 65th minute.

The Panthers dominated the game, outshooting the Blue Demons, 39-3 in the game.

"I'm happy with the result," said UWM coach Michael Moynihan, who saw his team improve to 1-1 on the season. "We missed a lot of chances, but I like the way we are playing. Finishing will come. It's just a matter of experience. It was a good first win for us."

UWM goalkeeper Liz Ulicki recorded one save to record her first career shutout.
