Crystalin Montgomery begins her fourth season as an assistant coach with the UWM women's soccer program. Among Montgomery's responsibilities are coordination of individual player workouts and monitoring the academic progress of the student-athletes. She is also involved in recruiting, maintaining the program's recruit database. Montgomery, a former UWM soccer player from 1995 to 1998, spent two years as a volunteer assistant coach with the Panthers after the conclusion of her playing career. In 2001, she spent one season as an assistant coach at the University of Houston before returning to Milwaukee. As a midfielder, Montgomery served as captain of the 1998 squad and finished her four-year career with 17 points on five goals and seven assists. The Minnesota native served as an assistant girls varsity coach at West Allis Hale from 1998-2000. She is also a youth coach with F.C. Milwaukee. A 1999 graduate of UWM, Montgomery earned her degree in Spanish and Community Education and received a certificate in Latin American studies. She has also received her USSF `B' coaching license.
