Panthers Ink Holman To National Letter Of Intent5/19/2009 - Nicole Holman, a sophomore at Kirkwood Community College, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and join the women's basketball team, head coach Sandy Botham announced today. Holman brings the number of incoming recruits for 2009-10 to five, joining Ciera McGaughy of Detroit, Mich., Sami Tucker of East Lansing, Mich., Sammy Theut of Chesterfield Township, Mich., and Anne Breland of Rochester, Minn. Traci Edwards, a senior on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball last season, has signed a professional contract with the Caboolture Suns of the Queensland Basketball League (QBL) and will make her professional debut when the Suns host the Northside Wizards Saturday, May 16. Edwards, the top-scoring woman in UWM, state of Wisconsin and Horizon League history, signed with the Australian team last month and left the states May 5. Sophomore Ashley Imperiale of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team was named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team, the league office announced today. Imperiale was named to the league's all-newcomer team after her first season in a Panther uniform and earned all-tournament team honors after helping UWM to the league title game in March.
