MILWAUKEE - UWM women's basketball Coach Sandy Botham has signed three recruits for next school year.

Elizabeth Fletcher (Wilmette, Ill./Loyola Academy), Antoinette Gregory (Fort Wayne, Ind./Snider) and Jessica Wilhite (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) will all have freshman eligibility beginning next season.

Fletcher is a 6-3 center who helped lead Loyola Academy to two state high school championships.

"She comes from a successful program, and we're excited about that," said Botham. "She has size and strength inside that gives her a strong physical presence. And she plays with a lot of heart."

Gregory is a 5-9 guard capable of running the point or playing off-guard.

"She is tenacious and very aggressive," said Botham. "With her speed, we will be able to use her in the full-court press. Her defense makes her offense. Plus, she has a strong three-point game."

Wilhite is a 5-8 guard who excels in the open court.

"Jessie has tremendous skills, and great range from three-point range," said Botham. "She sees the open floor well and can great in the open court. She will be a great addition to our backcourt."

"We were hoping for three players to sign during the early recruiting period and we got three," said Botham. "It's a solid class that can really step in and help."
