Panthers Set 2008-09 TV Schedule With Sports 32

Milwaukee will make seven appearances on TV this season

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Nov. 19, 2008) - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team will make seven television appearances during the 2008-09 season.

The Panthers will play five TV games as apart of their second-straight season on Time Warner Cable "Sports 32". Sports 32 will also air the weekly Sandy Botham TV Show, which will air for the first time Thursday at 5 p.m.

Milwaukee TV games will once again feature Bob Brainerd and UWM's all-time leading scorer, Maria Viall.

The first Panther television broadcast will be of the Dec. 10 home contest with Illinois. Milwaukee then kicks off the new year with television games Jan. 4 against Green Bay, and Jan. 29 against Valparaiso. In February, the Panthers games against Cleveland State on the 5th and Loyola on the 19th will also be carried live on Sports 32.

In addition to its TV package with Sports 32, Milwaukee will also play Wisconsin on the Big Ten Network Dec. 2 in Madison. On Dec. 31, UWM's game at Marquette will be seen on Sports 32 as a part of the Golden Eagles' television deal.
