Arneda Yarbrough Named Assistant Basketball Coach
August 31, 1998 MILWAUKEE - Arneda Yarbrough, a former point guard at Iowa, has been named an assistant coach for the UWM women's basketball team, head coach Sandy Botham announced today. "We're just thrilled that Arneda will be part of the UWM family," Botham said. Yarbrough, whose nickname is Nene, played point guard at Iowa in 1991-95, including 1993, when the Hawkeyes advanced to the Final Four. "She brings a lot of experience from the success she's had," Botham said. "She has been there and done that. It's that winning attitude that we're excited about because that's what we're striving for here." Most recently, Yarbrough worked as a corrections counselor in Racine, Wis.
