Women's Basketball Golf Outing Set For Friday, August 1
July 21, 2003 MILWAUKEE - For the third consecutive summer, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team will hold a golf outing, this time at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex, Wis. on Friday, August 1, 2003. The 18-hole shotgun start event will feature lunch and a dinner buffet, raffle prizes, hole contests, and an appearance by political comedian and event emcee Kate Clinton. The outing will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Ironwood with registration, a continental breakfast, and an open driving range. The golf will commence with a 10:30 a.m. shotgun start with dinner and an awards reception to follow. In addition, the UWM women's basketball staff and coaches will be present during a silent and live auction. Furthermore, golf outing participants will can receive a special discount to Clinton's show that night which begins at the Pabst Theatre at 9 p.m. Ironwood Golf Course is a championship-caliber course that was served as a home to the 2000 Ladies Professional Futures Tour. The par 72-course is 5,741 yards from the white tees with a rating of 68.4 and slope of 120. the course is located at W270 N6166 Moraine Drive in Sussex.
