Milwaukee - Becca Buer has been added to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team roster, coach Sandy Botham announced today.

A 5-8 guard who is a product of Mukwonago High School, Buer averaged 18.9 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists a game last year. She was a two-time selection to the all-conference team and was named the Classic 8 co-Player of the Year last season. She has been named to the first-team all-county team twice and was a selection to the USA Today All-American honorable mention team.

"We're excited to have another local standout from a strong high school program choose UWM," said Botham. "Becca will add depth at the guard position with a work ethic and drive to be successful that are unmatched. She is an overachiever who possesses a great understanding of the game and is extremely effective around the hoop for her size."

Buer also excels in the classroom. She was a WBCA All-State selection and a four-year Scholar-Athlete.
