MILWAUKEE -Kimberly Becker (Platteville, Wis./Platteville High School) and Teri Huff (Milwaukee, Wis./Riverside) have been added to the UWM women's basketball roster for the 2001-02 season, coach Sandy Botham announced today.

Becker has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Botham, while Huff has been admitted to the university and is expected to join the Panthers program.

A 6-foot-2 post player, Becker was named honorable mention all-state and has been selected first team all-conference for three consecutive years. She has been named to the Wisconsin State Journal All-Area Basketball Team three times and has twice been named her team's MVP.

"Kimberly is a diamond in the rough," Botham said. "She's a great athlete that runs the floor very well. She can shoot the free-throw jumper and is a strong rebounder. She's got a great work ethic and she really wants to be a Panther. We're excited to have her."

Huff is a 5-foot-10 guard and a first team all-conference selection. A Milwaukee native, Huff is athletic and good around the basket.

"We've known Teri for five years since she has been coming to our basketball camps," Botham said. "We have watched her develop into a fine player, but we know she still has loads of potential. We are excited to bring her into the program and help her reach her potential."
