UWM Women's Basketball Adds A Transfer Student
May 6, 1999 MILWAUKEE - UWM womens basketball Coach Sandy Botham has added a transfer to the roster, she announced today. Holly Tamm (Muskego, Wis.-Muskego) played for MCC-rival UIC last season. After sitting out the upcoming 1999-2000 season as per NCAA regulations, Tamm with have two years of eligibility remaining. "She has proven herself in the league," said Botham. "She is a very hungry player who wants to be part of building a winning program at UWM." Tamm was named first team All-MCC as a sophomore last year. She started all 27 games last year and led UIC in scoring (15.0 ppg), rebounding (5.0) and steals (47). Her 73 assists and 22 three-pointers ranked second on the team. Tamm was the only MCC player to rank in the top-11 in scoring (3rd), rebounding (11th) and assists (10th) this past season.
"Holly plays with incredible determination," said Botham. "She is a scrappy, hard-nosed off-guard who finds a way to get the job done on both ends of the floor."
