MILWAUKEE - UWM women's basketball will have its annual end-of-the-season team banquet Sunday, April 29th, at the Park East Hotel downtown.

The banquet begins at 11:30 a.m. with a social, followed by lunch at 12 p.m. Tickets cost $15 and must be purchased in advance by calling Assistant Coach Tonia Vanderploeg at 229-4172.

MCC Coach of the Year Sandy Botham will speak about the Panthers championship season, give out team awards, and bid farewell to the team's seniors.

UWM is coming off the 2001 season with a share its first ever MCC regular-season title, first ever MCC Championship, and first ever bid into the NCAA Tournament. Milwaukee ended its dream season on March 17th as it lost to No. 3 Duke, 96-63, in the first round in Durham, N.C.
